66 yo female. Had blisters pop up about 8 months ago and seem to get larger, drain, fill back up, then eventually heal. Not painful until drained. No hx of autoimmune. Stated about a year ago they had a flea problem with their cats inside. Localized to right foot. Otherwise appears in good health.
Bug bites leading to blistering around the site. So this is the second patient to come in with bites like these; the first patient we treated with hydrocortisone. The blisters continued to swell quite a bit, any ideas on what this is and tx? We are thinking chiggers and we are located in the woods of Indiana. Photo 3 is a site that blistered up then popped.
patient presented to pharmacy with bug bites on the back of the thigh that have been getting worse over the last 3 weeks. Patient states that the itching is worse at night and it is "impossible" not to scratch; but that the scratching then produces the hives seen in the photos. Has been treating with 1% hydrocortisone cream with little relief.... the bites look like mosquito bites (just a bump with no other defining features) but the patient doesn't have any of the bites anywhere else on the body. I'm wondering if it could be a more nuisance pest like fleas or scabies due to the intensity and duration of the itching? ... Thoughts or follow up recommendations? Thanks!
59/M reported blistering after mowing the lawn and taking care of some house work. Decreased mobility and sensation due to previous neurological injury, so no complaints of pain. No abnormalities in physical condition including v/s, only blistering and redness. No reports of activities that would've caused a burn. Poss. spider bite evidenced by small, black marks? Thoughts for or against spider bite? Alternative ideas?
