circular pink macules, some purple on the extremities, inclu | Figure 1
Case Summary
I wanted help with a case. Female patient, 48 years old, without comorbidities, reporting having had chikungunya about 6 months ago, at the time with fever, arthralgia and skin rash with total resolution of symptoms. Associate the appearance of injuries (photos below) after this event. I don't know if you have any case that could have had this evolution.
The lesions are circular pink macules, some purple on the extremities, including the palms and hands, with a sudden, itchy appearance that sometimes leads to painful edema, improving with corticosteroids and antihistamines (the patient says he took hyxizine and predsim in crises). The lesions return after a few weeks (third remission). Denies rash on the face or injuries to other parts of the body.
