Case answer from last week with extra photo

This was an 1.5 year old diagnosed with the new strain of Coxsackie, with the eczema coxsackium variation. This was not eczema herpeticum as most of you guessed. The Palmar and plantar involvement was the big clue and the lack of classic punched out appearance and more papular appearance. We have seen many of these and so it was more easy for us to recognize but eczema herpeticum would be on your ddx. Patient improved with moisturization only and eczema care taught at follow up.
