BMPR2 Pulmonary Hypertension

Axial CT images of the chest in a patient with BMPR2 pulmonary hypertension show multiple poorly defined ground-glass nodules throughout the lungs, each with a small central vessel. Mutations in the BMPR2 gene are the most common genetic cause of pulmonary arterial hypertension. On imaging, BMPR2 pulmonary hypertension is characterized by the distinct pattern seen here.
