The patient complains of pain and heaviness in her right leg. She reports that her leg is swollen and that transparent liquid is coming out of her leg.

She used Amoxicillin with clavulanate for five days, but there was no improvement.

On clinical examination, the leg has edema, erythema and increased temperature. Peripheral venous insufficiency is noted.

The patient is 62 years old. She has high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes mellitus. She is using Losartan and Insulin NPH.

What is the diagnosis? And the treatment?
