29/F came in for consult due to pruritic rashes.
Symptoms started 4 days prior as a flat, pruritic erythematous rash on her abdomen. She claims that the rash expanded in a span of a few days along with eruption of new rashes of similar morphology on the rest of her abdomen, back, nape, arms and thighs.
There was a history of an undocumented one-day fever days prior to the appearance of the first rash. There were no joint pains, no intake of any medications or drugs. Relatives of close contact do not exhibit the rashes.
She has no known allergies.
On examination, rashes are maculopapular to patchy with occasional papulosquamous reaction.
Any idea what could the diagnosis be? Was thinking of PR or Guttate Psoriasis.
21 y/o female patient, in her 9th month of her first pregnancy, complains of a very pruritic rash that started 1 week ago. The rash is papular, located mainly on her abdomen, with a few little areas in her inner thighs and arms. What would your diagnosis be?
Patient is a previously healthy 18-24 y/o female entering third trimester of pregnancy with no pertinent past medical history presenting with 3 week history of pruritic rash that started on her left wrist area and has since spread throughout her body. Rash appears macular to raised plaques with no central clearing. Rash is pruritic but itching improves with Benadryl. Patient is not on any new medications and denies any changes in environment such as cleaning supplies, new clothes, or detergents. Patient had no issues in previous pregnancy. She does report that her partner also is presenting with a similar rash. She is up to date on her varicella vaccination. Possible differential?
35yo female complaining of 36 hr history of pruritic raised rash on both dorsal forearms. Denies any history of new interactions, detergents, oils, or creams. Pt stated that prior to the rash she interacted with her 2 turtles and cleaned their tank. Any ideas?
Pt is a 33 year old female who sustained a minor burn on her abdomen (center area). immediately applied over the counter antibiotic cream and a band aid. The next day, area around burn was red, slightly raised, bumpy, and extremely pruritic. Pt states she had the same reaction when she sustained a laceration to the top of her foot. States she was given antibiotics but they did not help. My initial thought was some sort of allergic reaction, but she discontinued use of antibiotic cream and bandages 5+ days ago and rash has continued.
A 52-year-old man presented with a 20-minute history of chest pain radiating to the left shoulder and neck, associated with dyspnea and diaphoresis. He had a history of hypertension, long-term smoking, and a sedentary lifestyle. On physical examination, bibasilar crackles were noted on lung auscultation. An electrocardiogram (ECG) was performed in the primary care setting, and the patient was promptly referred to the emergency department.
A 28-year-old woman presented with a 3-day history of intense pruritus over the lower back. She reported no recent travel or exposure to new environments. She cares for a small kennel with approximately eight dogs rescued from the streets. Physical examination revealed multiple small vesicles, some clustered and others scattered, predominantly involving the lumbar region and the left gluteal area.
A 4-month-old male infant presented with skin lesions localized to the chin for the past 3 days. Physical examination revealed multiple small pustules with surrounding inflammatory signs on the chin, along with a few scattered papules on the chest.
Patient in late teens presenting after a collapse, no chest pain, no previous cardiac history, no history of sudden death in family, are there any features in this ekg that would warrant further work-up or is this just a pediatric ekg?
