#aortic #phlegmon. Patient with #Marfan syndrome had previously undergone replacement of the aortic root and ascending aorta for a #dissection. A number of years later they developed an infection of the graft (the source of which was unknown). At operation the aorta was encased in a thick, fibrous covering with pus inside. This was all resected and replaced with a fresh graft.](https://app.figure1.com/case-detail/431d7283-c296-46de-be18-744120fe0d41)
