Patient: 22-year-old man, Non-smoker, Mildly asthmatic but otherwise healthy.
8hrs post tonsillectomy after several episodes of severe tonsillitis, requiring hospital admission. Bleeding seems well controlled, and healing well - although complete recovery may take up to 2 weeks.
Pain management using Diclofenac and Co-codamol.

PT is a non-smoker, he does drink alcohol. PT has hypertension, controlled by two antihypertensive agents (Tildem and candesartan), PT is taking a daily statin and PPI. PT is taking an antidepressant and anxiety agent (venlafaxine and propranolol). PT states he also uses on a daily basis a codeine/acetaminophen painkiller and various agents for his reported IBS.

For the medical students; a case of a purulent follicular tonsillitis. Treated with Amoxicillin + Clavulanate, Orochlor (an anaesthetic spray for the throat area) as well as paracetamol for pain relief. View Case
A 52-year-old man presented with a 20-minute history of chest pain radiating to the left shoulder and neck, associated with dyspnea and diaphoresis. He had a history of hypertension, long-term smoking, and a sedentary lifestyle. On physical examination, bibasilar crackles were noted on lung auscultation.
