Widespread rash
56 yr old diabetic male. Developed scaly intensely itchy rash after starting trulicity. Stopped med several months ago but rash hasn't improved. Has not responded to topical steroid or emollient. Did respond to short course of oral steroids, but did not continue due to diabetes. Rash quickly returned. Waiting to see derm. CBC normal except slightly elevated eosinophils. Comp normal. ANA normal, but anti centromere 0.9 which is highest normal value. ESR and CRP normal. No insurance. Pic is of his thigh, but looks like that all over. Skin flakes constantly. Hands swollen and red. Painful to do anything with hands. Suggestions?
Update 1
Rheumatologist patient transferred care after seeing dermatologist. I have no idea what the outcome was. I have spoken with family members, but they haven't shared the diagnosis either. So....who knows???
