~65 year old woman about two weeks s/p elective surgery without complication. Discharged home. Developed infection. Symptomatic with fever, nausea etc. Did not return to MD or hospital. Patient was too busy caring for family member’s kids. Finally reported to hospital with toxic mega colon. Septic emboli throughout body. Resulting MRI.
Walked in to ER and discharged home; returned 3 days later with right hemiparaparesis. Transfer to our hospital and now densely quadriparetic. Symptoms initially right side weakness last week. Plan for resection today. 1st and last image with contrast, 2nd image is T2 axial.
patient in late teens presenting after a collapse, no chest pain, no previous cardiac history, no history of sudden death in family, are there any features in this ekg that would warrant further work-up or is this just a pediatric ekg?
