Aggressive Periodontitis
18 month old boy presenting with one new lesion of petechia on one earlobe (about 2mm size) and 2-3 other spots on torso that have not been growing or fusing together in the last few days.
Toddler is well and without fever or any other signs of being ill. Toddler in general has no history of anything except some mild eczema on torso that had appeared about a year ago and cleared up after a few weeks.
Boy enjoys lemon in his water and juices so has been getting higher doses of vitamin C. Could that in some way be responsible for this? No clear mechanical cause can be attributed to this (unless he slept funny on his ear as this was first discovered upon him waking). Any advice? Reasons to be concerned? Or should we monitor as outpatient for next 24-28 hours and not run any labs? Young medic so really appreciate your help and advice as I learn.
