Coronal T2-W MRI of the pelvis shows a giant fluid-containin | Figure 1

CincyKidsRad

Cincinnati Children's Radiology

Coronal T2-W MRI of the pelvis shows a giant fluid-containing mass (yellow arrow) arising from the left ovary. The normal right ovary (red arrow) is also visible. At resection, this mass represented a benign serous cystadenoma. These masses, when smaller, can mimic a functional cyst. The best way to differentiate a cyst from serous cystadenoma is routine follow-up; serous cystadenomas persist. #TummyTuesday
