Tetralogy of Fallot

Chest radiograph in a child with Tetralogy of Fallot displays the characteristic 'boot-shaped' configuration of the heart with an upturned cardiac apex. Tetralogy of Fallot is a combination of four anomalies: ventricular septal defect, right ventricular outflow tract obstruction, an overriding aorta, and right ventricular hypertrophy. This heart shape results from the right ventricular hypertrophy and a small pulmonary artery.
