Infection vs allergic reaction

Pt reports allergy to dissolvable sutures however after 7 days with nylon sutures the wound has this appearance. No other signs of infection present.

Patient is requesting I remove sutures. I am urging patient to wait until appropriate time from a wound healing standpoint before proceeding with removal. Does not appear infected and patient is HDS. Wound care is within my scope, I don’t want the wound to dehisce while doing therapy; which I’m afraid it will if the sutures are removed too soon.
