Emergency Transcutaneous Cardiac Pacing

A patient becomes symptomatic to Bradycardia after ROSC. 12 Lead after ROSC was clean. No elevations or depressions. The monitor showed 2° Type 1 heart block. The patient has a heart rate of 34-40 bpm. B/P 60 systolic prior to pacing. Atropine increased the rate slightly for a short while. Capture with TCP was achieved at 118mA with 80ppm, b/p increased to 90/50 and patient was placed on a Dopamine drip 400mg/250ml (T.I 8 mcg/kg/min, b/p increased to 124/76). I have a few questions, an ER doctor want to pause pacing to do a 12 lead, why is that? Do hospitals not trust EMS 12 leads? What are some of the end results in pausing pacing? Is it possible to have caption and a blood pressure during pacing while the patient is in cardiac arrest? If you do pause pacing would the patient go back into the heart block or could it lead to something else?
