34 yo male without medical pathologies, 9 days ago developed rapidly erythematous, swollen and well demarcated plaques in his chest and forearms.

A doctor prescribed betametasone cream. It was applied in his chest only and that is why the lesion in his chest looks a little more flattened.

The lesions are somewhat pruritic, more at night.

Denies physical contact with plants, when asked.

No recent medications were used.

Origin of this dermatitis?


  1. 20 yom with these lesions on his leg, chest, back and arm. States it itches and gets more on a daily basis. Starts as a small lesion then becomes bigger. Any idea on dx?
