Interesting white pupil case I'd like to get some thoughts on.

34 year old black female that reports she's never been able to see well out of this eye.

Was light perception only today. Other eye was -10.00 correctable to 20/25.

Patient's systemic health was unremarkable.

I thought congenital cataract at first but it appears more fibrous in nature. Perhaps some type of embryonic abnormality?

Intraocular pressure was 12 OU.

What are everyone's thought on an appropriately placed eye patch. I've heard ppl argue against and for them. The proponents state that they speed healing if placed correctly. late 30s white male with presenting c/o pain, redness, tearing, blurred vision in right eye. Hx smaller corneal abrasion in same eye, HTN, IDDM. Uncontrolled--presenting BP 205/118. Thoughts? Referred to ophthalmology after BP came down some.
