40-year-old healthy male presents to emergency department with "insect bites". Pt is traveling in a recently-purchased used RV with his family in the Western US. States the lesions are itchy. They are concentrated mostly on his upper arms and hands, also sparsely on his lower limbs and trunk. Worst lesion is ~1.5cm diameter to right thumb with erosion and eschar. Complains of chills today, but no fever. Vital signs are within normal limits in the ED. Any thoughts?

68 y/o male. This is showing the posterior aspect of his upper right arm. Also p/w itchiness. He said he noticed this lesion two days ago along with the itchiness after reaching into his yard's bushes to turn on the hose two days ago. What is this skin lesion?
