Nuclear Medicine

Case Summary

SPECT/CT 99mTc-EDDA/HYNIC-iPSMA (PSMA IMAGING) and 99mTc-HMDP (BONE IMAGING).

64 years old male patient with very high risk prostate cancer (NCCN, risk stratification) sent to our service for initial stratification. We performed the requested bone imaging study. As part of our protocol we are complementing the studies with specific prostate cancer radiotracer, as we can see. There is a clear correlation between metastatic bone lesions in both studies, but with PSMA imaging we can actually spot the primary tumor (yellow arrow) and additional pelvic nodes (second image).
